Pengaruh Ekstrak Etanol Daun Seri (Muntingia calabura) Terhadap Kadar Trigliserida Darah Tikus Jantan Galur Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) Yang Diinduksi Diet Tinggi Lemak
Hypertriglyceridemia is one of the metabolic disorders associated with fatty liver, pancreatitis, and cardiovascular disease. Many efforts have been made in the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia, including through research on medicinal plants, one of which is seri leaves (Muntingia calabura). Seri leaves contain flavonoids, saponins, tannins, polyphenols, and terpenoids that can improve blood lipid profiles. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving seri leaves on triglyceride levels in hypertriglyceridemia model rats. This study is a laboratory experimental study with a post-test with only with control group design consisting of 4 treatment groups (Negative control, high-fat diet, seri leaf extract treatment, pioglitazone treatment). The negative control treatment group was given a normal diet, the high-fat diet treatment group was given a high-fat diet ad libitatum, the seri leaf extract treatment group was given a high-fat diet ad libitatum and 100 mg/kgBW of seri leaf extract, and the pioglitazone treatment group was given a high-fat diet ad libitatum and 3.1 mg/kgBW of pioglitazone.
