Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Komunikasi Tulisan Melalui Penerapan Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Virtual Lab
This research aims to implement a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by virtual labs to enhance students' critical thinking and written communication skills and to determine the effectiveness of PBL with virtual labs in improving these skills. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design.
The results showed an improvement in students' critical thinking and written communication skills. In Cycle I, the percentage of critical thinking skills was 60%, categorized as moderate, and the percentage of written communication skills was 54%, categorized as fair. In Cycle II, the category of critical thinking skills increased to 80% in the moderate category, while written communication skills significantly improved to a good category with an average percentage of 79%.
Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there was an improvement in students' critical thinking and written communication skills from Cycle I to Cycle II. The implementation of PBL assisted by virtual labs proved effective in enhancing these skills.
