Sejarah Transmigrasi Di Desa Pulau Gadang Kabupaten Kampar (1992-1999)

Regency (1992-1999). The aim of this research is to determine the background to the occurrence of transmigration in Pulau Gadang Village, Kampar Regency, the process of transmigration in Pulau Gadang Village, Kampar Regency and the impact of transmigration on the social and economic life of the people of Pulau Gadang Village, Kampar Regency (1992-1999). Considering that the event that is the subject of this research is a past event, the type of research used is historical research (historical method). The research results obtained show that transmigration in Pulau Gadang Village, Kampar Regency occurred on August 31 1992. This transmigration was caused by the construction of the Koto Panjang hydroelectric reservoir, Kampar Regency which caused the settlement of the Pulau Gadang Village community to sink. This transmigration was not as easy as the Kampar district government imagined. The first Social Engineering in 1983 and the second Social Engineering in 1990 proved that the people of Pulau Gadang Village lacked confidence in this program. The impact of this transmigration on the social and economic life of the Pulau Gadang Village community, such as education, health, customs, the social environment in agriculture and the economy of the Pulau Gadang Village community.
