This research describes the involvement of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in preventing and combating HIV / AIDS in Kenya. HIV / AIDS is a major problem for Kenya, because of the high number of population in Kenya is infected with HIV/ AIDS. Data was obtained from the internet, books, newspapers, magazines, journals, and television programs. This reseach applies the concept of foreign aid by K.J. Holsti Said that Foreign Aid is transfer of funds, goods, or technical advice from a single donor in the recipient country. It is a wisdom that has been used in foreign relations for centuries. Another concept applied in this research is role according to Stephen G Walker that role provides a rich picture categorization of trust, the identity of individuals and groups, agencies, and describes a value USAID took steps in the prevention of HIV / AIDS in Kenya by making collective measures for the countries involved or having problems. USAID efforts in preventing and combating are HIV / AIDS in Kenya through programs such as antiretroviral treatment, provision of medication, and through community capacity building.
