Hubungan Tipe Kepribadian dengan Tingkat Stres pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Riau Angkatan 2011
Medical students have higher risk of being stressful, especially first-year
medical students. This stress relate with academic and non academic factors.
Different personality can show a different stress response. This research has
analyzed the relation between personality types and stress levels in medical
students of Riau University batch 2011. Personality types were measuring by EPI
(Eysenck Personality Inventory) and stress levels were measuring by MSSQ
(Medical Students Stress Questionnaire). The result show that severe stress were
significantly higher in introvert personality (n=57,14%; p=0,001). The data
analysis also found that there are mild positive correlation (r=0,435) between
personality types and stress levels, the introvert student more frequent to be
stress. As conclusion, there are correlation between personality types and stress
levels in medical students of Riau University batch 2011.
