This study aims to explain the formation process of Rokan Hulu district also know the efforts and steps taken by the community in realizing the Rokan Hulu district and tells the history of Rokan Hulu district.
Rokan Hulu District establishment that started from the desire of Rokan Hulu District particular leaders to form a long-standing district, Rokan Hulu in addition it has the culture, language, and customs are different from the parent. On 16 May 1999 the committee formation Rokan Hulu District can deliver Rokan Hulu aspirations while also submitted to the regents and the governor of Riau Kampar. In consideration Riau governor by letter number: 135/TP/1303 dated June 3, 1999 yangditujukan to Kampar regent with intent to deliver judgment on the division danpendapatnya. based on the governor's letter Kampar regency gave a positive appreciation for the division. So that on the 8th of June 1999 proposed to the minister about the domestic division approval Kampar district stating that Rokan Hulu district consists of 7 districts. So legally On 4 October 1999, Rokan Hulu District stands as an autonomous district. But recently unveiled by the government on 12 October 1999 with a capital of pengaraian sand.
