The Urbanization which is happened in Pekanbaru give some bad impact to its Society, especially the reducing number of Malay ethnic. Then when we compare the Malay ethnic and Tebing Tinggi Malay Ethnic, exactly in Okura it much different. Originally the Malay ethnic lifelihood is fisherman, but many of them are switching to be farmet, plant rubber and oil palm. Society and culture can not be separated.
Application of Malay culture in Tebing Tinggi Okura extended to culture, customs and religion and the role of family members such as fathers, mothers and children. Father is the command of a Malay family, the authority was in his hand covers education, family shopping and how to deal with life crises with an average score of 1.90 category value enough. A mother's role in children's education at home, obedience to the husband, pay attention to eat and drink with family and ownership savings average value of 2.23 category score enough. A child has a role in obedience to parents with an average score of 2.79 category of good value. Malay family income comes from fathers, mothers and their children. median family income is Rp. 1.965.333,-/KK/month.
Analysis of the level of well-being based on equality rice consumption result that the average respondent in a state of near poor. Problems that make it hard to increase revenue is natural factors such as rainfall, absence of a market economy at the center of the area, the lack of access to venture capital and away from the village to the district.
