Health is a state of well being of body, mind and social life that allows a person to live socially and economically productive. To achieving the healthy principle, the government through the Ministry of Health (Depkes) has established 10 indicators of hygiene behavior and healthy, the goal is that all people in Indonesia especially in the city capable of running these indicators can be said that a high level of health. To achieve that, at least 65% of the people in a region that is capable of running the PHBs said as a pilot area to implement clean and healthy behaviors.
Meranti Pandak village is one of the villagers in Pekanbaru city slums are still there and will be prone to floods. According the data from the village, there were 10 RW out of 13 RW classified as slum. This is because the density of population, environment cramped and uncomfortable making those areas classified as slums. The area is also prone to flooding and diarrheal disease prone.
Of the data pekanbaru city health department, noted that districts Rumbai Pesisir an area prone diarrheal disease, one of the most common is in the village Meranti Pandak. According to the existing information, the case is going on because there are many people in the area who have not run a clean and healthy living behaviors.
As for the purpose of this study was to determine whether the people in the area are already running 10 PHBs indicators set by the government, as well as find out what are the factors that influence them in carrying out these PHBs. Research location is at 10 RW categories in urban slums Meranti Pandak at Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru district city, which is set 67 respondents as a conduit of information related to the study. While the goal is to figure out how to live a clean and healthy behaviors people residing in slums.
Based on the result of the study and discussion of research on the behavior of living clean and healthy (PHBs) it can be seen that the people in the Meranti Pandak village has not reached the target of 65% in running the 10 indicators PHBs. This is because the factors that affect the community in running the 10 indicators PHBs.
