Analisis Pengaruh Tingkat Pendidikan Dan Tingkat Upah Terhadap Lama Mencari Kerja Pada Tenaga Kerja Terdidik Di Kota Pekanbaru
The problem of unemployment has become a constraint for each country at this time. The rapid growth of the labor force can not be followed by employment opportunities, bring about the increase of unemployment every year. Interestingly, in this case there are educated unemployment, especially graduates of higher education (university) whose numbers continue to rise because it is not directly absorbed by job field. This study aims to analyze the influence of education level and level of wage toward job seeking time for educated workers. This research employs primary data with interview and distribution questionmaire to 98 samples. The analysis tools include multiple linear regression. The results of this research show that education level and level of wage show the significantly influence toward job seeking time for educated workers in Pekanbaru. Determination coefficient is 0,644 it means that 64,4 percent job seeking time for educated workers can be explained by education level and level of wage, while the 35,6 percent can be explained by another variabels wich is excluded in this research. With a significance value 0,000 wich the value is much smaller than 0,05, then the regression model can be used to predict job seeking time for educated workers or it can be said that education level and level of wage are jointly have an influence toward job seeking time for educated workers.
