Potensi Limbah Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Menjadi Kompos Organik (Pks Tasmapuja) Di Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
This thesis discusses the potential of oil palm empty fruit bunches waste when used as organic compost. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the potential utilization of waste, empty fruit bunches (tankos) palm oil when used as compost in the future. And also to know how much the cost savings from the use of compost. And also to determine the potential financial feasibility.
Data analysis method used is descriptive quantitative projections using statistical formulas with linear method. In order to use the financial net present value, internal rate of return, as well as the net benefit cost ratio. The data used in this research is secondary data.
The results of this research is the amount of empty fruit bunches produced in a ton of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) is 22-23% which empty fruit bunches have nutrient sodium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium which can replace the nutrients that are in chemical fertilizers. Based on the calculations have been done, the combination use of compost with chemical fertilizer can reduce fertilizer costs with inorganic fertilizer Rp. 13650 on immature plants (TBM), and Rp. 6750 on crop yield (TM). FFB production is estimated to continue to increase from the year 2011 amounted to 55670.30 tons, with the average number of empty fruit bunches amounted to 12525.81 tons, until 2019 FFB production continued to increase to 79968.74 tons, with the average number of empty fruit bunches amounted to 17992.96 ton.
Suggestions from this study are expected to the government to provide counseling to the community and to farmers - growers of oil palm empty fruit bunches on waste utilization and processing guidelines in order to provide benefits. This research as well as a chance for others who want to continue the study of the empty fruit bunches, due to the limited scope of the discussion in this study.
