Jaringan Komunikasi Kegiatanproduksi Dan Pemasaran Padapembudidaya Ikan Lele Di Desa Hangtuah Kecamatan Perhentian Raja Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

This research was conducted on November 2015 in Hangtuah Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The aims of this study are to describe the individual characteristics of catfish farmers, the farmers communication networks in production and marketing activities, and determine the relation between the individual characteristics of catfish farmers and their communication network. This study used a survey research methods, and comprising the catfish aquaculture farmers in Hangtuah Village as the unit of analysis.
The result of this research showed that the characteristics of Catfish farmers in Hangtuah Village are generally in productive age, middle-class education, long period farming experience, have a moderate levels of family burden, high working hours per day, and middle income. The communication network of production activity are radial personal network, this network is open, which not focus to individual farmers only. The communication network in marketing activity is interlocking personal network, which is closed network and the fish farmer focus on the specific individual. Characteristics of individuals whose obviously relationship with the Central Local of communication network stucture is the individu with high working hours, high level experience, and high-aged category, whereas the individual with Central Global relationship is the high-aged category, and the last, the characteristics of individual in obviously relationship with betweeness is who have formal education and high incomes.
