Efektifitas Kepemimpinan Informal Dalam Pembangunan Desa Pulau Terap Kecamatan Kuok Kabupaten Kampar
An informal leader is a leader who is chosen informally based on a certain decision. He gains his authorization by his influence on the group. If a formal leader could gain the influence through his achievement, then an informal leader gains it through social approach. There is no objective measurement about how an informal leader become am leader. It is essentially because he is right in certain things. This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of informal leadership in the development of Pulau Terap village, Kuok sub-district, Kampar district. The problem of the research is to find out how the effectiveness of an informal leader is in developing the village and fixing the social condition as well in order to be involved in developing their village.
The research method used is purposive sampling. Source of the data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The location is at Pulau Terap village, Kuok sub-district, Kampar district. The informants of the research are Head of the village, “Ninik Mamak” (regional special term), “Cerdik Pandai” (regional special term), religious leader, and the people.
Theory used in this research is an effectiveness measurement theory by Streers, which consist of: the ability of adaptation, productivity, job satisfaction, and the usage of resources. This research uses qualitative method through assessment of descriptive data. In collecting the data, the researcher uses interview, observation, documentation, and library study.
The result obtained shows that the effectiveness of informal leadership in the development of Pulau Terap village, Kuok sub-district, Kampar district is still not optimal yet, because the informal leader collaboration has not done well.
