Keanekaragaman Bivalva Pada Ekosistem Lamun (Seagrass) Di Perairan Pantai Nirwana Kota Padang Provinsi Sumatera Barat
Nirwana beach is one of tourist destinations in the Sumatera Barat Province. In that area, how ever, there is a harbor and activities conducted in the harbor is potencially affects the seagrass ecosystem and its associated organisms, including bivalves. To understand the diversity of seagrass associated bivalves in that area, a research was conducted on November 2016. There were 3 stations and in each stations there were 3 lines. In each line, 5 quadrants 1 x 1 (m2) were placed. Bivalves present inside the quadrant were sampled manually. Results shown that there were 11 bivalve species present, they were Asaphis sp., Codakia sp., Crassatellites sp., Chione sp., Dhonax sp., Eucrassatella sp., Geukensia sp., Grafarium sp., Tellina sp 1., Tellina sp 2., Trachycardium sp. The value of diversity index was (H’) 2.491-3.212, the dominance index was (C) 0.123-0.188 and the uniformity Index (E) was 0.778-0.941. The water quality parameters are as follows : Temperature was 29-31 0C; Depth was 0.24-0.54 m; pH was 8; Salinity was 33 0/00 and DO was 5.1-5.8 mg/L. Data obtained indicate that the water quality in the Nirwana Beach is good and able to support the life of bivalves.
