The economically square shaped cross-sectional is if the water depth (h) is a half to the width of the channel floor (B). Based on the cross-sectional condition of the drainage at UIN Suska Riau, the visible dimension is not economical with the floor width of channel (B) is equal to the channel height (H). To find out the dimension of the channel plan with an economical square cross-sectional approach, we have to collect the data and then perform a hidrological analysis. Result of analysis by using re-time 5 years reap Rainfall Intensity equal to 37,69 mm/hour. From the analysis result obtained dimension of economical square shaped channel is 0,98 m x 0,58 mthe plan that uses a plan flow velocity.3,79 m x 2,46 m dimensions using the existing flow rate.
