Used oil is used cooking oil that is generally not used for cooking or frying. The use of used cooking oil is very dangerous because it can cause various diseases, then the utilization of used cooking oil by way of clarified again for the manufacture of transparent soap. Transparent soap is bar soap with transparent or translucent appearance. In this study, the use of wood charcoal on refining used cooking oil for the manufacture of transparent soap with variation of stirring speed (30, 40, 50 rpm) and stirring time (15, 20, 25 minutes). The aim of this study was to obtain transparent soap according to the quality standard of solid soap bath (SNI 06-3532-1994) to determine the quality analysis of moisture, alkali and standard (ASTM 2001) products for quality analysis of pH value. Variations in the manufacture of transparent soap completely meet the quality standards (SNI 06-3532-1994 and ASTM 2001) with moisture content, free alkali content and also the lowest pH value obtained at 40 rpm stirring speed variation and 25 minute stirring time with 50 rpm stirring speed variation and stirring time 20, 25 minutes. Water content obtained 5%, free alkali 0,050% and pH value 9.
