Induksi Kalus Jeruk Siam (Citrus nobilis Lour.) Asal Kampar Dari Eksplan Kotiledon Dan Epikotil Pada Media Ms Secara In Vitro
Orange Siam (Citrus nobilis Lour.) from Kampar is one horticultural commodities mainstay of Riau Province. Callus induction in vitro is one way to maintain Kampar citrus plants surviving to maintain its sustainability. This study purpose aims to determine the influence and determine the best concentrations of 2,4-D and combination 2,4-D with BAP in inducing the callus from explants of epicotyl and cotyledons of Kampar citrus plant. This research was conducted at Integrated Biology Laboratory Department of Biologi, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Riau University using a randomized block design (RBD) with various concentrations of 2,4-D and combinations 2,4-D with BAP treatment. Observations be done during the 28 days. The results showed that the treatment of plant growht regulator 2,4-D and combination 2,4-D with BAP gave the of callus formation on cotyledon and epycotil explants of Kampar citrus plant (Citrus nobilis Lour.). The best of callus growth was obtained on cotyledon and epycotil explants in the treatment of 1,5 mg/l 2,4-D with texture the compact callus.
