Penerapan Strategi Pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (Pogil) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Peserta Didik Pada Pokok Bahasan Termokimia Di Kelas Xi Mia Sma Negeri 8 Pekanbaru
The research aim to determine the improvement critical thingking ability student’s on the subject of thermochemistry in implementation of Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) strategy at 11Th grade SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The research is experimental research with One Group Pretest Posttest Design which in hield in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru at academy years of 2017/2018. The object of the research is XI MIA 1 comprised of 32 student’s. The data collection used test technique which pretest and posttest. The success learning in improvement critical thinking ability of student’s showed with improvement criteria of critical thinking from pretest and posttest result which analysis calculate critical thinking of percentage score. The result research showed there improvement critical thinking ability of student’s. Student experience improvement from critical thinking very low category to be very high category is 15,625 %, improvement from critical thinking low category to be very high is 40,625 %, improvement from critical thinking average category to be very high category is 9,375 %, improvement from critical thinking very low category to be high category is 12,5 %, and improvement from critical thinking low category to be high category is 21,875 %. Based the analysis data have concluded learning strategy Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) can improvement critical thingking ability student’s on the subject of thermochemistry at 11Th grade SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.
