Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga Terhadap Kontrol Tekanan Darah Pada Pasien Hipertensi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Hypertension in Indonesia is the third leading cause of death after stroke and tuberculosis. Hypertension and its complications can also be overcome, prevented, or controlled by taking medication regularly or without using drugs by maintaining a sedentary lifestyle. In addition to these procedures, family support is an important factor in the treatment of patients with hypertension. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of family support to the control of blood pressure in hypertension patient in RSUD Arifin Achmad. This research was an analytical research with cross sectional method. Sampling using consecutive sampling technique counted 88 respondents. The family support data was collected using a Friedman and House family support questionnaire, while blood pressure data were taken by measuring the patient's blood pressure using a spigmomanometer device. In the research, hypertension patients were the most aged ≥ 60 years is 53 people (60,2%), female gender were 48 people (54,5%), high school education level were 31 people (35,2%), the work of housewives amounted to 35 people (39.8%), good family support amounted to 50 people (56.8%) and controlled blood pressure amounted to 50 people (56.8%).
