Faktor Risiko Multidrug Resistant Acinetobacter Baumannii Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Acinetobacter baumannii is a Gram-negative bacteria that can cause infection, especially in immunocompromised patient. Multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii is bacteria that resistant to at least three group of antibiotic. The objective of this study was to determine the risk factors of multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii in Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province. The design of this study was analytic with case-control study approach. The samples of this consist of 67 case groups and 88 control groups. Data were analyzed using Chi Square. The result showed that patients who were mechanical invasive treatment and immunocompromised is a risk factors MDR A.baumannii.Continous review of need to this risk factors and strick compliance with basic infection control meeasure are mandatory to limit the spread of MDR Acinetobacter baumannii.
