Pola Sensitivitas Isolat Klinis Bakteri Gram Negatif Multiresisten Obat Terhadap Cefoperazone-Sulbactam
Multi-drug resistant organism (MDRO) is a microorganism (especially bacteries) that is already resistant to several antibiotic classes, making it difficult for patients to be treated. Cefoperazone-sulbactam is a combination of cefoperazone and sulbactam that has broad spectrum and known to be good antibacterial activity for Gram negative bacilli that produces ESBL and resistant to meropenem. The purpose of this study was to know the sensitivity pattern on several multi-drug Gram negative bacteria againts cefoperazone-sulbactam. This was a descriptive and cross sectional study. The samples were clinical isolates in the microbiology laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine Riau University from several hospitals in Pekanbaru. this study found that the sensitivity of ESBL producing E. coli was 86.67%, ESBL producing K. pneumoniae was 63.33%, meropenem resistant A. baumanii was 16.67%, meropenem resistant P. aeruginosa was 40.00%, meropenem-resistant K. pneumoniae was 26.67%. The result of sensitivity test to cefoperazone-sulbactam was ESBL producing E. coli has the highest sensitivity and meropenem resistant A. baumanii has the lowest sensitivity. Cefoperazone-sulbactam can be used as alternative therapy for infection caused by Multi-drug resistant organism Gram negative.
