Pembuatan Biodiesel Dari Lemak Ayam Dengan Menggunakan Katalis Cao
Conventional fossil fuel oil has been depreciated. In addition, pollution from burning fossil fuels has been very seriously threatened. Biodiesel is one of the most environmentally friendly alternative fuels as a replacement for diesel fuels derived from renewable sources such as vegetable oils and animal fats. Biodiesel is made from chicken fat. Chicken broiler contains 10.9% of body weight. Broiler chicken lard is a waste cuts or residual waste chicken waste that is not used anymore. The purpose of this study was to make biodiesel from chicken fat using CaO as catalyst, with variations in oil: methanol (25:30, 25:40 and 25:50) and reaction time variations 60 minutes, 120 minutes and 180 minutes. the best reaction time is obtained at 180 minutes and the ratio of oil: methanol 25:30 which produces a yeild of 95.60% biodiesel characteristics is viscosity sebasar 15.41 cSt density of 0.970gr / ml heating value 5545.0 and Free Fatty Acid 0, 04%.
