Penerapan Model Kooperatif Tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Untuk Meningkatkan Penalaran Formal Siswa Pada Pembelajaran IPA Fisika Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru
This study aimed to describe and determine difference of formal
reasoning ability through the application of team assisted individualization (TAI)
model cooperative learning for physic in grade VIII SMPN 8 Pekanbaru . The
kind of this study was a pre-experimental approached by using intact group
comparison design. The sampel in this study was students grade VIII SMPN 8
Pekanbaru which consisted of two classes that experimental and control class.
The data was collected by given a test about formal reasoning ability. The data
was analyzed by using descriptive statistic techniques. The result of this study
showed that there was influence toward formal reasoning ability between
experimental class which applied team assisted individualization cooperative
learning model and control class which applied conventional learning model. The
formal reasoning ability of the experimental class was higher than control class.
Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the team assisted
individualization learning model has a positive effect on the formal reasoning
ability of the students.
