Analisis Kelimpahan Ikan Indikator Terumbu Karang Famili Chaetodontidae Di Perairan Pulau Cempedak Kabupaten Bintan Provinsi Kepulauan Riau

This study was conducted from 10-17 May 2018 in the waters of Cempedak Island Bintan Regency of Riau Islands Province. The purpose of this study is to analyze the abundance of Chaetodontidae, to calculate live hard coral cover and see the relation of Chaetodontidae fish with live hard coral cover. The study was conducted at three station points at depth ranging from 4-5 m using Underwater Visual Census (UVC) method for fish data collection and Line Intercept Transect (LIT) method for live hard coral cover data capture. The transect length used is 50m, the transect used in data collection of fish and coral cover is the same. The study used regression analysis to clarity the relationship between Chaetodontidae fish with live hard coral cover. The results indicate that abundance of Chaetodontidae fish ranged from 0.100-0.028 ind/m2 with live coral cover ranging from 13.60 - 25.52%. Chaetodontidae fish has a very close relationship with live coral cover with positive (+) R values. Key words :Chaetodontidae, Coral Reef, Cempedak Island
