Ikan Juaro (Pangasius Polyuranodon) Sebagai Biomonitor Pencemaran Logam Berat Di Perairan Sungai Siak Provinsi Riau
Domestic activity in the Siak River bank was allegedly increased the exposure of Pb and Zn to the river. This research has been conducted in October to November 2017 from three stations in the Siak River to analyze the pollution levels of Pb and Zn by using Pangasius polyuranodon as biomonitor. Analysis of heavy metal concentration has been done by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) Perkin Elmer 3110. The results of the study showed that the highest concentration of Pb and Zn in organs of P. polyuranodon was found in the stomach and the lowest was in gills (for Pb) and insoft tissues (for Zn).
