Kemampuan Tumbuhan Melati Air (Echinodorus Palaefolius) Dan Genjer (Limnocharis Flava) Dalam Menyerap Logam Berat (Cu Dan Fe) Yang Diaplikasikan Pada Sungai Sail Kota Pekanbaru
Echinodorus palaefolius and Limnocharis flava are able to absorb heavy metals in the water and it can be used for phytoremediation process. A research aims to understand the Cu and Fe content in the water and the ability of the plants to accumulate at those heavy metals was conducted in March - April 2018. Samplings were conducted 3 times, once/month. Heavy metals analyzed from the root, strem and leaf of the plant. Results shown that the average of Cu content in the water is 1.44 mg/L, Fe content is 4.75 mg/L. The highest accumulation of Cu and Fe in E. palaefolius was found in the root (26.69 – 153.35 mg/kg), the lowest was in the leaf (13.94 – 48.00 mg/kg). While the highest accumulation of Cu and Fe in L. flava was found in the root (17.55 – 131.72 mg/kg), the lowest was in the leaf (11.56 – 30.35 mg/kg). It can be concluded that the plants were able to accumulate Cu and Fe from the water.Keywords: Heavy metals, Phytoremediation, Aquatic plant, Accumulation
