Kontribusi Kepemimpinan Visioner Dan Kecerdasan Emosional Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Optimisme Guru Bidang Studi Bahasa Inggris Di Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi,Kepulauan Meranti,Riau

The main purpose of this research was to analyze the contribution of visionary leadership, emotional intelligence of headmaster toward the optimism of English teacher in Tebing Tinggi, Kepulauan Meranti, Riau. This research was quantitative. The sample of this research was 88 of English teacher. The data were collected by a questionnaire with five choices. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of this study were obtained a significant contribution between visionary leadership variables on English teacher optimism, and obtained a significant contribution between the variable of the emotional intelligence of headmaster on the optimism of English teachers. In addition, there was a significant contribution between the visionary leadership variables and the emotional intelligence of headmaster towards the optimism of English teachers. The finding of this research were concluded that the better the English teacher's perception about the visionary leadership and emotional intelligence of headmaster, the more better the English teacher's optimism. This research were expected to be useful for improving performance and optimism of English teachers in carrying out their obligations while conducting and learning activities and developing students at school.
