Hubungan Lama Sakit Dengan Kadar Kolesterol High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Pasien Psoriasis Vulgaris Di Rumah Sakit Swasta X Kota Pekanbaru
Psoriasis vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, which is associated with dyslipidemia with potential impairment of lipoproteins. Systemic chronic inflammation is suspected to be the link between psoriasis vulgaris and this abnormality. The longer duration of the psoriasis vulgaris, the more complex immunological interactions that lead to life-threatening comorbidities. This study aims to determine the association between duration of illness with HDL cholesterol levels which is one of the lipid markers. The study design used in this research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional approach on 38 medical records of psoriasis vulgaris patients in Pekanbaru X Private Hospital that fulfill the study criteria. The International Diabetes Federation, 2009 is used as a parameter or normal HDL cholesterol level. The results showed that psoriasis vulgaris was more common in men as much as 52.6% and in the 36-45 year age group as many as 31.6%. Most study subjects experienced a duration of illness for less than 10 years at 55.3%. Low HDL cholesterol levels were found in 7 study subjects consisting of 5 men (25%) and 2 women (11.1%). The results of the bivariate analysis with Fisher Exact obtained p-value = 1,000 (p-value = >0.05) so that Ho was accepted. From this study, it can be concluded that there is no significant association between duration of illness and HDL cholesterol level in psoriasis vulgaris patient.
