Manajemen Kurikulum Kombinasi Di Mts Pondok Pesantren Bahrul‘Ulum Kecamatan Perhentian Raja Kabupaten Kampar
In the structure of national education system, Islamic Boarding School is one of subsystem which moves in the field of education. This is not only because of its historical emergence which is relatively long, but also because it has been actively and continuously taken apart in the effort of educating the life of the nation and giving enlightment to the society. As Bahrul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School is 22 years old now. From its educational management, it has given concrete contribution in embodying the purpose of national education. This can be proven through the model of its curriculum development which refers to the curriculum combination which are the islamic boarding school curriculum, Ministry of Religion, and Ministry of Education in which three of them combined and packed into curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular in Islamic Boarding School, until by the existence of this curriculum integration, the students (santri) of Bahrul ‘Ulum have achievement in the field of religion, general academic, emotional-spiritual academic, and skill, in which both of these achievements are some indicators of national education purposes. This research employed qualitative method. The location of the research was at Bahrul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School.
The techniques of data collection were observation, interview, and documentational study. The techniques of data analysis consisted of data reduction flow, data presentation flow, and taking decision flow. The technique of data reliabilidy in this research, an examination was conducted based on four criteria, they were; degree of trust, transferability, and certainty, by using the techniques such as; extending the presence of the researcher, the persistence of observation, peer-examination, and triangulation. The result of the research on curriculum management at Bahrul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School in its implementation emphasizes on the discipline of religion knowledge. The curriculum management at Bahrul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School covers planning by forming the team of curriculum development, the strategy of curriculum delivery covering PAKEM method, organizing the curriculum starting from its implementation based on each task and continued to organizing religion knowledge and general knowledge that have been packed well. The curriculum implementation has been done and fulfilled well because it has fulfilled the function of implementation/movement. The activities of curriculum evaluation is conducted in order to know the achievement of the students. The activities of monitoring and evaluation has been good because it is conducted twice in a year.
