Analisis Keberlanjutan Ekosistem Mangrove Di Desa Sungai Bela Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau
Mangrove ecosystem has economic, ecological and social functions, however, improper management may decrease its function. Appropriate management is required to guarantee the sustainability of the mangrove. A study aims to determine the level of sustainability of mangrove ecosystems in the Sungai Bela Village has been conducted in January 2018. Data on ecological, economical, culture, law and organization were obtained through interviewing people living around the mangrove and observing mangrove condition in general. Data obtained were analyzed using a Multi Dimension Scalling (MDS) method. Ecological parameters of the mangrove measured were density, community structure and types of vegetation present in the mangrove area. Results shown that the density of mangrove tree was 1162.63 trees/Ha (good). The average of sustainability index values was 58.41 (sustainable). There were 9 main factors that affect the sustainability of the mangrove, namely types of mangrove, mangrove density, organic matter content in the sediment, fishery product marketing, people knowledge, role of leader, people obedience toward and partisipation of the people. In Recommended strategy for maintaining the suatainability of mangrove ecosystem in the Sungai Bella Village were improving the stakeholders coordination and improving people knowledge in managing the mangrove through training and guidance.
