Gambaran Histopatologi Jantung Tikus Putih (Rattus Norvegicus) Pasca Perlakuan Iskemia-Reperfusi Ginjal
Renal ischemic-reperfusion injury is an injury which is caused by restriction of blood flow to kidney, followed by reperfusion. The injury is related to the elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the body system which then distributed around the body and may causes effect to distant organ especially heart. ROS then causes necrosis in the cells and histopathological changes that can be found including swelling of the cells and leucocyte infiltration. The aim of this study was to find out kind of histopathological changes found after renal ischemic-reperfusion injury using the H&E stain. This study used analytical experimental laboratory design with posttest only-control group. The subject was grouped into five categories. The study showed a mild edema in the ischemic group, moderate edema with small vacuoles in the ischemic group followed by 1 hour and 2 hours reperfusion and severe edema with large vacuoles in the ischemic group followed by 24 hours reperfusion. Another histopathological change found is the increased density and diameters in capillaries in the group with 24 hours reperfusion.
