Pengaruh Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Di Provinsi Riau

Mining and excavation Sector is the biggest Gross Regional Domestic Product contributor which impacts on high economic growth in Riau Province until this sector becomes the prime mover of economy in Riau Province. However this sector cannot be made as the main foundation in the future because of its characteristic that is non-renewable. Development always must be sustainable and it cannot be managed well without high quality human resources. This research aims to know the effect of human resources quality towards economic growth in Riau Province.
This research used quantitative approach. Data used were secondary data. The research method used was multiple linear regression by using variables education and health as independent variables and economic growth as dependent variable.
The research results show that variable education measured by the average length of school duration has positive and significant effect towards economic growth, while variable health measured by using life expectancy number has negative and significant effect towards economic growth in Riau Province.
