Analisis Efisiensi Penggunaan Faktor-Faktor Produksi Pada Industri Pallet Kayu Di Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar
The wood pallet industry in Siak Subdistrict is one of the small and medium industries (IKM) which has the potential to spur the growth of the industrial sector in Siak Hulu Subdistrict is wood pallet industry. One of the things that drives the level of use of wooden pallets in upstream Siak is the increasing population in Siak Hulu Subdistrict every year. Constraints that cause a decrease in production output increase production costs, such as increased raw material costs, labor costs, and other costs, so the costs to be incurred in production are higher and inefficient. In this case, the problem is how minimum the cost of producing industrial pallets so that the use of inputs or factors of production can also be efficient, so that the production produced can also be optimal.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of technical efficiency, price efficiency (allocative), and economic efficiency in the wood pallet industry in upstream Siak sub-district and to know the condition of Return to Scale wood pallet industry in Siak Hulu sub-district. The population of this study is the wood pallet industry entrepreneur in Kecamat Siak Hulu, which is as much as 10 by using the entire population into the study sample. Data analysis was carried out using the Cobb-Douglas production function, and testing efficiency, both technical efficiency, price efficiency and economic efficiency with the help of 4.1c vertex frontier software.
Based on the results of the research, it is known that technical efficiency is 0.9964, price efficiency (allocative) is 5.5674 and economic efficiency is 5.5473. This shows that the wood pallet industry in the Upper Siak Subdistrict has not been technically efficient, price (allocative) or economically. In this study, it is known that Return to Scale (RTS) is 1.7475. This shows that the wood pallet industry in the Upper Siak District is in an Increasing Return to Scale (IRS) condition so that it can be said that this condition is feasible to be developed or forwarded.
