Megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan District Simanindo Samosir Regency is one of the historical attractions that has its own uniqueness. The megalithic culture in Huta Siallahan has a unique historical story, which has become one of the proofs of the culture of the Batak people in the past. Megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan has a unique function in the past, namely as a place to conduct meetings or deliberations between the king of huta and the community in deciding everything. Megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan is proof that the Batak people in the past were familiar with customary law, so that in deciding everything needed to be properly discussed. The megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan which in the past was part of the culture of the community is now used as one of the historical attractions in Samosir Regency. Unintentionally, the megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan now has an impact on the welfare of society in the present, namely by becoming one of the historical objects and visited by many local and foreign tourists and even overseas. The purpose of this study is 1) to know the function of megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan in the past, 2) the use of megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan in the present, 3) the role of the government in maintaining megalithic culture in Huta Siallagan, 4) tourist perceptions of megalithic culture at Huta Siallagan. The method used is the mix method and data collection techniques in the form of interviews, literature, observation, documentation.
