Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Treffinger Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Peserta Didik Pada Materi Optik Di SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru
The physics learning process in schools does not involve students directly so students are less active and creative which causes low cognitive learning outcomes of students, in this case it is necessary to apply a creative learning model that can improve student learning outcomes by applying the treffinger model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Data collection instruments using tests of student cognitive learning outcomes consisting of pretest and posttest, analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential. Descriptive analysis results obtained an average absorption capacity of 72.64% experimental class and 63.47% control class with good and quite good learning categories while the results of paired sample t-test stated that an increase in student cognitive learning outcomes from pretest to posttest. This can also be seen from the inferential analysis where the results of the independent-sample t-test of the two classes have a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the treffinger model can improve student learning outcomes in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru on optical material.
