ABSTRACT

The horticulture sub-sector includes fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants, and medicinal plants. Pineapple plants are one of the commodities which are included in the horticulture sub-sector, in Indonesia pineapple production reaches 8.75% of the total fruit production in Indonesia. Riau Province is one of the provinces that has pineapple development centers, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Riau Province which can produce pineapple amounting to 7,308 tons in 2015. Pineapple and quite well known for Riau Province itself was Kampar Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out the pineapple cultivation technique in Kualu nenas village, analyze the income of pineapple farmers and analyze the feasibility of pineapple cultivation in the village of Kualu nenas. The analytical tool used is the analysis of the income of pineapple farmers and analysis of pineapple farming efficiency. The sampling technique was using simple random sampling. Pineapple farmers in the village of Kualu Nenas were 67 people. The number of farmers was determined with a precision of 15%. So that 27 farmers were obtained and to facilitate data collection and adjust to previous research, the number of respondents was reduced to 25 farmers. The results of the analysis show that the cultivation of pineapple farmers in Kualu Nenas Village was still classified as the same simple cultivation carried out by pineapple farmers in other villages such as land preparation, nursery, planting, farming, and harvesting there is nothing striking and different from pineapple farmers in other villages. The gross income of pineapple farming is Rp.94.428.571, - / ha / year, while the production costs are Rp.39.975.080, - / ha / year, then the net income of pineapple farming is Rp.54.453.490,47 / ha / year. The results of the analysis show that the value of R / C of pineapple farming in Kualu Nenas Village is more than 1, which is equal to 2.11. This means that every one rupiah issued by pineapple farmers can produce a total of 2.11. This shows that pineapple farming in Kulau Nenas Village is economically efficient and feasible to be continued and developed.
