Penentuan Kualitas Perairan Dan Kesuburan Perairan Berdasarkan Indeks Saprobik Dan Trophic Level Index (Tli) Di Sekitar Kja Waduk Plta Koto Panjang
The water quality of the Koto Panjang hydropower reservoir is affected by activities around the reservoir, such as plantations and floating net cages. This research was conducted in July 2019. This study aims to determine water quality and trophic state based on the Saprobik Index and Trophic Level Index. In this study, there were 3 stations and 3 replications were carried out, with one-week intervals. The results found 7 classes of plankton, consisting of Chlorophyceae (10 species), Cyanophyceae (5 species), Zygnematophyceae (4 species), Bacillariophyceae (3 species), Cryptophyceae (1 species), Euglenophyceae (2 species), Zygnematophyceae (4 species), Bacillariophyceae (3 species), Cryptophyceae (1 species), Euglenophyceae (2 species), Dinophyceae (1 species) and ciliates (1 species). Result shown of water quality parameters that the temperature 31 - 33oC, water transparancy 161-225.50 cm, pH 5.3 - 6, dissolved oxygen 3.20 - 4.34 mg/L, free carbondioxide (CO2) 5.99 - 11,32 mg/L. The saprobic coefficient in the waters shows 0.93 - 0.97, that’s mean Koto Panjang hydropower reservoir is in the mildly polluted phase (β-Meso saprobic). While the level of trophic state based on the Trophic Level Index (TLI) shows 5.49 - 5.87 (super trophic) or very high nutrient enrichment phase.
Keywords: Saprobik index, mesosaprobic, Trophic Level Index (TLI), Supertrophic.
