The background of this study is that most of the recognition of the symbol of a number of memorization, so the child is still back and forth in mentioning the symbol of numbers. The process of spelled out the child is also not acceptable, ie the mismatch between pronunciation and the number of objects that are counted. Children are also still difficult to distinguish between the number 6 and 9 symbols. The purpose of the implementation of this research is to know the improvement of the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers through the game of the ball of numbers in children aged 5-6 years, to know how the application of the game of ball numbers in improving the ability to recognize the symbol of numbers in children aged 5-6 years and to find out how much increase The ability to recognize the symbol of numbers through the game of ball numbers in children aged 5-6 years in TK Wahidin Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. In 1 cycle there are 3 meetings. The number of samples in this study were 20 children consisting of 12 boys and 8 girls.
Based on the analysis of the assessment process of both cycles there is an increase in the ability to recognize the number symbols before the implementation of action to cycle I of 42.2% and cycle I to cycle II that is equal to 38.9% and increase from before the cycle to cycle II of 97.7 %. Means with the game of the ball of numbers can improve the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of children aged 5-6 years in TK Wahidin Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, in accordance with expectations made in this study. This increase occurs because each stage of the implementation of the cycle held improvements in carrying out learning activities.
