Non-timber forest products are one of the natural resources that have high
economic value, one of which is the Stingless bee. One of the potential areas for
cultivating Stingless bee. Is Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya, Sungai Apit District,
Siak Regency. Stingless bee. Is an effort to develop and sell products made from
bees, this effort is carried out to meet the increasing need for honey products.
Besides being expected to be able to increase the economic income of the
community, the Stingless bee. Is expected to become a new ecotourism attraction
in Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya. This research aims to determine the interest of the
community in developing the cultivation and tourism of Stingless bee. In
Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya. The research was conducted in Kampung Rawa
Mekar Jaya. The research was conducted in February 2020. The research method
to be carried out is interviews by asking directly to the community. The results
showed that the interest of the people of Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya in
developing Stingless bee. Cultivation was quite large, as many as 73.3% of
respondents were interested in cultivating Stingless bee. The community is also
interested in Stingless bee. Tourism, as much as 100% agree that cultivated
Stingless bee. Becomes a new tourist attraction in Kampung Rawa Mekar Jaya.
