The size of the fishing line used by anglers in the Dua Saudara fishing pond often
breaks when they want to use it. The size of the fishing line is 0.20 mm, 0.25 mm and 0.28
mm. Conducted research on the effect of broken fishing line, the research was conducted by
experimental methods and analyzed using T test. New yarn sixe 0.28 mm initial breaking
strength 158.808 kgf and then decreased to 144.36 kgf144.36 kgf, the diffrence in reduction
is 14.45 kgf or 9.1%. new yearn size 0.25 mm initial breaking strength 183.004 kgf decreased
to 148.11 kgf , the diffrence was 43.89 kgf or 17.41%.and the elasticity decreased by 0.035
Mpa. While the new yarn is 0.20 mmin size, the initial breaking strength 159.240 kfg
decreasses to 132.69 kgf. The differenceis 26.55 Kgf or 16.67% and the elasticity decreases
by 0.010 Mpa. The result state that the age of use on the fishing line has an effect on changes
in the value of the breaking load strength and the value of string elongation.
