Tingkat Keramahan Lingkungan Alat Tangkap Jaring Insang Hanyut (Drift Gillnet) Ditinjau Dari Komposisi Hasil Tangkapan Di Kelurahan Pekan Labuhan Kecamatan Medan Labuhan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

This research was conducted in Maret 2020 in Pekan Labuhan waters, Medan
Labuhan District, North Sumatera Province. The purpose of this research is to
determine the level of environmental friendliness of the gill net fishing gear based on
the criteria for the composition of the fish caught (target species and bycatch), and
utilization of the catch. The method used is a survey method which is then analyzed
descriptively and using the calculation of the proportion of catch used.
The catch during the study was 123.222 gram or 1063 tails. The total catch of
the drift gillnet during the study that the target fish, namely the selar kuning fish,
were obtained as the main catch based on the weight of 70% and the remainder as a
bycatch of 30%. While based on the individual obtained as the main catch of 60%
and remainder as a bycatch of 40%. Then the fish is caught gilled Based on the
proportion of fish used, it can be said that the drift gillnet drift unit is
environmentally.
