Pemetaan Daerah Potensial Penangkapan Ikan Menggunakan Data Produktivitas Jaring Angkat Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan
Potential fishing ground are areas with high fishing potential with relatively low
fishing effort. Catch per unit effort (CPUE) is an index of the abundance of water
stock from the caught so that it can be an indication of the high and low catching
of an area. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential of the fishing
area spatially and temporally using Lift Nets fishing gear in the waters of the
Malacca Strait in 2018. The analysis used is density analysis using a geographic
information system. Fishery potential produced at 12 regions. Potential areas for
fishing has categorized as low, medium and high. Area potential for fishing, the
higher the ratio value, the more potential to catch. The high category of a value
potential has 207.887 kg per hour with an area of 580,384 km2. The highest
potential fishing areas produced are three areas where (a) is in the waters of East
Aceh, north of PPS Belawan with a distance of 134,522 km, area (b) is in the
northeast of PPS Belawan with a distance of 100,937 km from PPS Belawan, and
the area (c) to the east of Bali Lestari Beach or the southeast of PPS Belawan
with ranges of 124,737 km from PPS Belawan. The highest category of DPPI can
be predicted for potential fishing areas using Lift Nets fishing gear in the waters
of the Malacca Strait.
