Pelindian Nitrogen Pada Tanah Gambut Yang Diaplikasi Dolomit Dan Npk Lambat Terurai Serta Pengaruhnya Terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Sacchararata Sturt)
Peat utilization as agricultural land is faced by the problem of low soil
fertility. Low soil fertility resulted in nitrogen being easily leached. One solution
to overcome Nitrogen leaching and low fertilizer efficiency is by using dolomite
and slow released-fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of dolomite
on Nitrogen leaching in several types of slow released-NPK which are applied to
sweet corn cultivation in peat soils and determining the best dolomite dosage and
slow released-NPK types so the minimum Nitrogen leaching will optimize sweet
corn growth in peat soils. This research was conducted from August to October
2018 in the UPT Experimental Garden and Soil Laboratory of Agriculture
Faculty, University of Riau. This study was factor experiment using Completely
Randomized Design (CRD) as the arrangement of treatment. The first factor is a
dolomite which consists of 4 levels (0 tons.ha-1, 2.5 tons.ha-1, 5 tons.ha-1, dan 7.5
tons.ha-1). The second factor is slow released-NPK which consists of 4 levels
(NPK single pearl, NPK 13: 6: 27: 4 + 0,65B Mahkota B, NPK 13: 6: 27: 4 +
0,65B Compound Plus Hi-Kay and NPK 13: 8: 27: 4 MgO Ztick). The results
showed that the application of dolomite 23.55 g per tube and slow released-NPK
could reduce Nitrogen leaching, improve physiology and growth of sweet corn.
Provision of interaction between dolomite 5 ton.ha-1 with slow released-NPK
(30.25 N, 3.72 P, 12.56 g per tube) produces the best interaction that can reduce
the proportion of Nitrogen leaching so that it affects the increase in plant growth.
