Identifikasi Kesulitan Belajar Peserta Didik Pada Pokok Bahasan Larutan Penyangga Di Kelas Xi Mipa Sma Cendana Pekanbaru
Abstract: his study aims to determine the difficulties and factors that cause students'
learning difficulties in the buffer solution material in class XI MIPA SMA Cendana Pekanbaru.
This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative case study approach, the research
population is class XI MIPA SMA Cendana Pekanbaru. The sample of this research is students
whose scores have not been completed on the subject of the buffer solution, which is as much
as 40% of the total students. The data collection technique used the technique of test questions
and questionnaires, and interviews, while the data collection tools used test questions and
questionnaire sheets. The results showed that students had learning difficulties in calculating
the pH of the buffer solution when acid, alkaline, and after dilution were added with the high
category of learning difficulties. The internal factors that affect the learning difficulties of
students are the motivation aspect with indicators of learning efforts about the balance of the
buffer solution and the attention of students towards the learning of the material with the
percentage of the effect of 58.03% and 56.78%, respectively, while the external factors that
affect the difficulty learning on the method aspects with indicators of how to teach teachers,
methods of delivering material and use of media / tools amounted to 58.38%, 59.64% and
58.92%, respectively. The conclusion of this study is that there are learning difficulties of
students on the buffer solution and there are both internal and external factors that affect the
learning abilities of students.
