Penerapan Metode Pemodelan Dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Eksplanasi Siswa Kelas VIII 1 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru
The application of the modeling method is the teacher's way of providing models to students so that students can easily understand learning, the modeling method is also very good for students so that students can learn with a model that has been prepared by the teacher. This study aims to determine the category of the pretest results of the ability to write explanatory text for students of class VIII 1 SMP N 20 Pekanbaru, to know the category of the ability to write explanatory text of the pretest results between male and female students of class VIII 1 SMP N 20 Pekanbaru, to know the process of applying the modeling method. In learning to write explanatory text for students of class VIII 1 SMP N 20 Pekanbaru, knowing the post-test result category of the ability to write explanatory text for students of class VIII 1 SMP N 20 Pekanbaru, knowing the category of the ability to write explanatory text on posttest results between male and female students in grade VIII 1 SMP N 20 Pekanbaru, knowing the categories of pretest and posttest results of the ability to write explanatory text for class VIII 1 students of SMP N 20 Pekanbaru. This research method is one group pretest-posttest experiment. The data collection technique is an essay test. Data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistics. The results showed that the post-test results were higher than
the pretest results, there was no significant difference in the ability to write explanatory text based on gender. This can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest which increased significantly from before being given treatment and after being given treatment.
