Pengaruh Program Kentongan Rri Pro 1 Padang Terhadap Perilaku Mitigasi Bencana Pada Masyarakat Sumatera Barat

RRI Pro 1 Padang is the only radio station in West Sumatra that broadcasts a program on disaster mitigation called the kentongan program. The program, which aims to provide information and educate the public in mitigating these disasters, certainly has the potential to influence listeners in making efforts to mitigate disasters that occur in their area. This research is based on stimulus-response theory which describes communication as a simple process of action and reaction, starting from the stimulus and ending with the response. Therefore, this study aims to see how much influence the RRI Pro 1 Padang kentongan program has on disaster mitigation behavior in the people of West Sumatra.
The type of research used is explanatory with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a sample of 100 respondents obtained using the unknown population formula with purposive sampling technique. After the questionnaires were distributed via google form, the data found were then processed using SPSS for windows version 24. Based on the theory used, the stimulus in question was the RRI Pro 1 Padang kentongan program, while the reaction to be seen in this study was disaster mitigation behavior.
The results of the study were based on simple linear regression analysis, the regression equation of the study was Y= 8.416 + 0.667X with a constant value of 84,416 and a regression coefficient of X of 0.667. Where, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted with a significance level of 0.000. If the significance level is smaller than the 0.05 significance level, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the kentongan program on disaster mitigation behavior in the people of Padang City. The coefficient of determination in this study was 48.8%. If interpreted, then the coefficient value is in the category of moderate influence, the remaining 51.2% is influenced by other factors outside of the results obtained
