Windmills are a tool used to convert wind kinetic energy into mechanical energy, where wind kinetic energy in the form of translational energy is converted into rotational energy (rotation) which can then be utilized as needed. Apart from its main task of converting wind energy into electricity, windmills must adapt to the conditions. The windmill has to face the wind all by itself. Windmills also need to protect themselves from wind ferocity that is greater than the previously measured wind speed. Protection at windmills is carried out to prevent overspeed. Without a protection system, the rotor can rotate beyond the limits of the blades, generators and other rotor components, so that malfunction can occur, in other words, dangerous. For this purpose, a continuous rotation servo motor is used to control the direction of the windmill with a limited output voltage value. To test this windmill prototype, the wind speed is engineered by using a fan as the direction of the wind. In this test stage, to maintain the position when getting a normal voltage, rotate CW 90 ° when it gets a low output voltage value and rotate CW 90 ° from the direction of the wind when it gets too high a voltage as a protection system. The limit for the value of the output voltage that has been determined to test the directional control of this windmill, namely, the limit of the lower voltage value from 0.00V to 0.99V, the limit for the normal voltage value from 1.00V to 2.99V, and the upper voltage value limit of 3.00V. The results of each test of the voltage value limit obtained an output voltage of 0V on the test with a lower limit voltage value. For testing with normal limits, the output voltage value is 2.25V. For the upper limit voltage test, the output voltage value is 3.66V.
