Partisipasi Masyarakat Peduli Api Desa Kesuma Dalam Penanggulangan Bencana Kebakaran Hutan Dan Lahan

Kesuma Village, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency is one of
the villages that is prone to forest and land fire disasters, for this reason prevention
and control processes must be carried out by related parties or local community
organizations so the Kesuma Village Fire Care Community was formed but in its
implementation, MPA Kesuma Village run into obstacles. The purpose of this study
was to determine the implications of community participation in caring for fire in
forest and land fire management and to find out the factors that pose a challenge
to community participation in caring for fire in forest and land fire management.
This research uses snowball sampling technique with qualitative research type
using a case study approach and the required data such as primary data and
secondary data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then
analyzed based on the research problem. The results of this study indicate that:
first, the impact of community participation caring for fire in the village of Kesuma
is quite good, this is indicated by the community's awareness of environmental
sustainability and a decrease in forest and land fires in Kesuma Village in 2020.
Second, factors that challenge community participation caring about fire, namely
motivation, improvement of human and financial resources as well as supporting
facilities and infrastructure.
