Pengaruh Pupuk Fosfat Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Hasil Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna Radiata L.) Pada Beberapa Media Tanam
ABSTRACT
Green beans have a potential to be developed. Effort that can be made is
by using marginal soils; Inceptisols, Ultisols and Histosols that dominate the Riau
Province, wich have low P availability. The usage of rock phosphate (RP) and
TSP in marginal soils can overcome P deficiency and can be used as a soil acidity
repairs. The aim of this research is to know the effect of phosphate fertilizer
application and to know the best dose for the growth and production of green bean
on few planting media. The research was conducted experimentally in the form of
split plot RAL, factor 1 is the main plot while factor 2 is a subplot. Factor 1 was
the usege of 3 types of soil (Inceptisol, Ultisol and Histosol). Factor 2 is the dose
of phosphate fertilizer (0 ; 79.3 ; 158.6 ; 237.9 kg RP.ha-1 and 100 kg TSP.ha-1).
The results showed that the application of phosphate fertilizer on few planting
media affected the plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, flowering
age, harvest age, number of pods and dry weight of planted seeds, but not on
weight of 50 seeds. The result also showed that the usage of rock phosphate with a
dose of 237.9 kg RP.ha-1 on few planting media Inceptisol, Ultisol and Histosol
had the best growth among treatments. The using of few planting media had a
significant effect on the number of branches, flowering age, number of pods, dry
weight of seeds per plant and weight of 50 seeds, but had no significant effect on
plant height, stem diameter and harvest age. The usage of planting media
Inceptisol and Histosol media showed a growth and production of the bean better
than the usage of Ultisol media.
