Unjuk Kerja Desalinasi Surya Tipe Single Basin Double Slope Dengan Porositas Sumbu Serap
ABSTRACT
The need for clean water will continue to increase from year to year as a result of very fast
population growth. So that the availability of clean water is still a big problem today,
especially those who live on the coast. In their daily life, coastal residents have to buy to get
clean water, besides that, coastal residents also take advantage of rainwater. However, the
availability of clean water is still available in nature. When the dry season comes, it is very
difficult to get clean water. One solution to this lack of clean water is to obtain clean water
through a sea water desalination. Desalination is a process to get clean water by removing
excess salt content in the water to get water that can be enjoyed by utilizing sunlight. This
study discusses the study of experiments on the efficiency of solar desalination systems by
utilizing sunlight. Experiments were carried out with a sponge pore dimension of 0.2 mm and
an initial volume of 12 liters. With an average solar radiation intensity of 733,079 W/m2, the
desalinated air produced is 3,380 kg and the efficiency is 27.05%.
