Strategi Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Bumdes) Arih Ersada Dalam Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Masyarakat Desa Raya Kecamatan Berastagi
The Indonesian nation is a nation where the majority of its population lives in rural areas. According to the Central Statistics Agency (2020), Indonesia's population is 270 million people, of which 43% live in villages (BPS, 2020). Based on the latest data from a survey by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendesa PDTT, 2021), of the 74,961 villages in Indonesia, only 3,269 villages have the status of independent villages. This research aims to identify a description of business units, internal and external factors that influence business units, and determine proposed development strategies that can be implemented by the Arih Ersada Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in empowering the economy of the community of Raya Village, Berastagi District. This research was conducted in Raya Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted from June 2022 to March 2024. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The informants chosen by the researchers were people who played a role in BUMDes Arih Ersada and people who had activities in BUMDes Arih Ersada. Based on these criteria, there were 15 informants in this study. The research results obtained were that the village hall rental business unit and the thousand flower garden agrotourism business unit of Arih Ersada Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) were described in 9 aspects of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and SWOT. The recommended strategy for business units is the Strength Opportunities (SO) strategy because it has the greatest value among the other proposed strategies.
